2012 Governor's Service Awards
The Governor's Service Awards recognize significant contributions of Maryland citizens to the life and health of the State and its people. In early April, nominations were reviewed by a panel of community leaders, volunteers, and State staff from across Maryland.
This year the Governor's Office on Service and Volunteerism (GOSV) received over 180 wonderful nominations for individuals and groups across the State. The stories shared and community impact described were truly remarkable – and often deeply moving. On behalf of Governor Martin O'Malley, The GOSV thanks these nominees for their service through recognition on the GOSV website.
