Maryland AmeriCorps State Grants

The Governor’s Office on Service and Volunteerism administers annual funding for AmeriCorps State grants in Maryland. Instead of two funding cycles as in previous years, all applications will be considered for both Formula and Competitive funding at the same time. Funds are for use from August 15, 2018 to August 14, 2019, for service activities that address critical community needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment.

The first step in the application process for an AmeriCorps State grant is to submit a notice of intent, due Wednesday, September 6, 2017 by 12 p.m. (extended deadline). Based on the notice of intent, applicants may be invited to submit a concept paper due September 11, 2017 by 5 p.m. Applicants will be notified of opportunity to submit a full application by October 31, which will be due in December. Please send your notice of intent to Sarah Kim at sarahy.kim@maryland.gov.
