Available Funding

Volunteer Generation Fund Grants

The Governor’s Office on Service and Volunteerism (GOSV) announces the availability of funding to award to eligible organizations to operate Volunteer Generation Fund (VGF) programs in 2015 – 2016. The Fund will support efforts that expand the capacity of volunteer connector organizations to recruit, manage, support, and retain individuals to serve in high quality volunteer assignments. Applications are due by August 14, 2015.

AmeriCorps State Grants

AmeriCorps is a national service program, which engages Americans of all ages and backgrounds in community service to meet critical needs in the areas of disaster services, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, opportunity, and veterans and military families.

Each year, the Governor's Office on Service and Volunteerism (GOSV) issues Application Instructions for organizations to compete for program funding to support AmeriCorps service activities. In general, instructions are released in September and February, and grant applications are due in November and April (respectively). These AmeriCorps funds are made available through the federal Corporation for National and Community Service; funds are limited and extremely competitive.

Eligible applicants include: private or public nonprofit organizations, state/local government, Native American Tribal governments, and institutions of higher education.

To learn about AmeriCorps funding, we highly encourage individuals and organizations to take part in our monthly funding overview webinar. Find all of our upcoming AmeriCorps funding overview webinar dates with links for registration.
