CNCS Streams of Service
The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) is a federal agency that engages more than five million Americans in service through National Service programs. In addition to administering AmeriCorps State and National , CNCS supports other programs that support communities across the country.
Senior Corps
Senior Corps engages citizens, ages 55 and over, in service that helps meet the needs and challenges of America’s communities. Senior Corps offers several ways to get involved, including:
- The Foster Grandparent Program
- The Senior Companion Program
- Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
The Social Innovation Fund
The Social Innovation Fund is an initiative of CNCS intended to improve the lives of people in low-income communities. It does so by mobilizing public and private resources to grow promising, innovative community-based solutions that have evidence of compelling impact in three areas of priority need.

Volunteer Generation Fund
The Volunteer Generation Fund is a program authorized by the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act to support voluntary organizations and state service commissions in boosting the impact of volunteers in addressing critical community needs.
