The Department of Service and Civic Innovation – Maryland GOSV administers AmeriCorps funding throughout Maryland and advances national service as an effective solution to our State’s toughest social challenges.

Current Funding Opportunities 

Funding Opportunity Title:  Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) AmeriCorps State and National Operational Grants

This notice is for current & prospective AmeriCorps Maryland grantees of the MD GOSV applying for formula consideration for 2025-2026 AmeriCorps Maryland (AmeriCorps State) grants.These grants are awarded to organizations that propose to place AmeriCorps members in service solely within Maryland. Selected organizations will receive grants to support AmeriCorps member positions that engage members in service to meet critical needs in Maryland.

Disclosure: Publication of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (Notice) does not obligate the Department of Service and Civic Innovation’s GOSV to award any specific number of grants or to commit any amount of funding. The actual level, timing, and process of grant funding will be subject to the availability of annual appropriations. 

NEW FUNDING RECOMPETE FUNDING CONTINUATION FUNDING
In the context of AmeriCorps funding, a “new grant” refers to a financial award from the federal agency to support organizations that are implementing or expanding their AmeriCorps programs, often for the first time, or for a new project or initiative. Please see application instructions for submitting new grant requests. This Notice applies to all Recompete requests. AmeriCorps Maryland programs administering a 2024-2025 AmeriCorps Maryland program through  the Maryland GOSV that are in the final year of their project period are required to submit a Recompete application to apply for a new three-year project period. Please see application instructions for submitting recompete requests. This Notice applies to continuation requests. AmeriCorps Maryland programs administering a 2024-2025 AmeriCorps Maryland program through the Maryland GOSV that are funded and in the first or second year of their three-year project period are required to submit a Continuation application in order to continue operation for 2025-2026. Please application instructions for submitting continuation requests.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS 

Application materials and instructions are made available from documents provided by AmeriCorps. 

Applicants must submit applications electronically via eGrants, AmeriCorps’ web-based system. Applicants are required to submit additional documents by the application submission deadline (see details below).

  • AmeriCorps VISTA: Provide needed resources to nonprofit organizations and public agencies to increase their capacity to lift communities out of poverty.
