Mahlet Mesfin

Mahlet Mesfin is a senior at Crofton High School who is dedicated to helping her community. She serves as chair of the projects sub-committee on the Anne Arundel County Public Schools Student Service Learning Leadership Team.

Mahlet has spent three years on this team, allowing her to help organize projects like Warm Up for Winter, which collected over eight hundred winter clothing items for for those in need in Baltimore and Project Healthcare Heroes, which provided over a hundred self-care baskets for Maryland healthcare workers. Additionally, Mahlet spoke at a showcase for Leadership Anne Arundel to share with local business leaders how they can support service learning.
